- How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets must be purchased at least 24 hours in advance of your visit. They are available over the web or by calling the Montalvo Box Office at 408-961-5858. All sales are final, and tickets are nonrefundable.
- What does it mean that my tickets are timed tickets?
Timed entry helps ensure that all visitors enjoy their experience. Please arrive at the West Valley College shuttle stop promptly at the time specified on your ticket. There is a 30-minute grace period for timed entry; entry is not guaranteed if you arrive more than 30 minutes after your ticketed time. Early entry is not available.
- May I purchase my tickets on-site?
Tickets are, unfortunately not available for sale on-site, and must be purchased at least 24 hours in advance of your visit.
- I’m bringing a group to visit the exhibition. Is there anything I need to know?
If you are bringing a group of more than 20 guests, we request that you call the Box Office directly at 408-961-5858. We will happily arrange a special discount for your group, and discuss any custom accommodations you may require.
- How can I visit the Munro exhibition?
Take the free shuttle bus from West Valley College! Please take advantage of the free parking in West Valley’s Parking Lot 1, and then follow the signs to the shuttle station.
- Can I drive directly to Montalvo to see the exhibition?
So as to minimize the exhibition’s impact on our neighbors and neighborhood, we are unable to accommodate visitors driving directly to Montalvo for the exhibition—whether that is in their own car or in a rideshare service like Lyft or Uber. Instead, all exhibition visitors are requested to make use our free shuttle service.
- What food and drink will be offered for sale at the exhibition?
We are pleased to offer an array of beverages for sale, including hot chocolate, wine and beer, custom cocktails, and soft drinks. Also available for purchase will be light bites and other delicious snacks.
- What opportunities are there to get a meal?
On special evenings throughout the exhibition, we will offer Munro Dinners, served in the historic Villa. View available dates and make your reservation by clicking here.
- What if it rains?
The exhibition is open to the public rain or shine. Please dress for inclement weather.
- Is this exhibition appropriate for children?
Bruce Munro at Montalvo is appropriate for all ages. If your children are 12 years old or younger, we recommend that you visit us for one of our exciting Family Nights, when we will offer special youth-oriented tours and art-making activities.

- May I take pictures?
Visitors are enthusiastically encouraged to take photographs of Bruce Munro’s installations and artwork for personal usage—please tag #munromontalvo and/or #storiesinlight for any social media posts! However, any commercial use, reproduction or sale, directly or online, of any images of Bruce Munro at Montalvo is strictly prohibited, and may expose violators to civil and criminal penalties. Anyone wishing to seek permission for any commercial project should contact the Bruce Munro Studio at firstname.lastname@example.org.
